ABOUT US
A&C Asbestos Consultants is an independent inspection body, holding UKAS Accreditation for Asbestos Sampling and Surveying (UKAS Accredited Inspection Body No. 9792).
Founded in Tullibody, Clackmannanshire in 2006 by John Allan, we offer high-quality, asbestos related services to business and local authorities across Central Scotland. With many years in the building trade and extensive experience working in asbestos removal, John brings his extensive knowledge of buildings and expertise in the processes involved in surveying asbestos materials to the company.
With clients required to commission a competent and impartial surveyor to carry out work on their behalf, we undertook and achieved UKAS accreditation in 2019. This demonstrates that we meet the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) definition of competent surveyors, which shows we:
-
Have survey knowledge, and know the risks in surveying
-
Have training and experience, and recognise our limitations
-
Use a documented quality management system
-
Show independence, impartiality and integrity
-
Do our work in accordance with good practice guidance
Our management system is compliant with ISO 17020 giving confidence that the services we offer comply with the latest best practice, as specified through relevant sections of UKAS document RG8 and the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012. This system also confirms we have a robust Contract review that ensures that any projects we undertake are suitably assessed for resource, timescales, risk mitigation and effective close out.
